Hunting

One of the most primal activities is to enter the wild and pursue your food with a gun or bow.  New Jersey offers excellent hunting in for white-tailed deer, pheasants and waterfowl among other animals.  The licenses and regulations can be confusing if you have never done it before.  Let Veteran Outdoor Experiences be your guide and introduce you to a whole different recreation adventure.

Fishing

Take on the challenge of trying to figure out what bait will entice a fish to bite. Experience the thrill of adrenaline when a fish suddenly strikes and then successfully reel it in. Whether you are interested in freshwater lakes and rivers or the surf and sea; all experiences exist in New Jersey. The equipment needed such as rods, reels and bait will be provided. As well as assistance with procuring a license if needed.

Kayaking

Experience nature in a way that cannot be done on foot or from a motorboat. Enjoy the quiet of gliding over water as you paddle to places you have never been before. Kayaks, paddles, flotation devices and instruction will all be provided.

Gardening

Have a desire to grow your own flowers and vegetables? Maybe you want to start a small garden or something on a bigger scale but you don’t know where to begin.

Learn about the growing process from sowing to harvesting and everything in between. Come out to one of our plots to learn or let us help you start a garden on your land. There is nothing like the experience of having grown it yourself.

Shooting

Do you miss going to the range to shoot firearms? Do you want someone in your family to know how to safely handle firearms. Come out and try 22 caliber centerfire rifles or 12- and 20-gauge shotguns. Gun safety and basic rifle marksmanship as well as sporting clays will be provided.

Archery

Have you ever desired to master the ancient art of archery? Experience the joy of launching an arrow into a target. Learn the fundamentals of archery and try traditional bows, compound bows and crossbows.
